Our Love Story

Our story is a modern-day romance.

September of 2020, Cody was on the hunt for the perfect home. He stopped by an open house that his buddy Dave told him about that was just down the street from his house. Luckily for Cody, I was the listing agent hosting the open house. We didn't get too much time to speak but we definitely had an instant spark! I was pulled away by the sweetest old man to help him down the stairs.  By the time I came back to keep small talking with Cody he was long gone. I did call Cody later that day about the house since it now had an offer but to my luck, it went straight to voicemail. When I got back to the office on Monday, I made a colleague Facebook search for Cody so I wouldn't get caught creeping. Unfortunately, his profile was secured and we couldn't find out any information. A year later I went on an incredible girl's trip to St. John where I downloaded the dating app, Tinder. When I got back to Sioux Falls, I forgot I didn't disable the dating app, so I went on to turn it off when Cody's profile came up as a Super Like. I figured he's cute - we can match. We started chatting and getting to know each other.  As the conversation progressed and we started talking about going on a date, Cody mentioned that we had previously met. I asked, "really, when?" he said, "at an open house" and I instantly knew it was the tall, beautiful man from a year ago! I of course said yes to the date. We went to Monk's at 6:30pm on October 28th.  I figured we wouldn't be there too long so I had also planned on getting a spray tan at 8:30pm. To my surprise we closed the bar down and we shared our first kiss in the parking lot that night. Two years later in the same spot he got down on one knee to ask me to be his forever!!
